Thai Cooking Classes


Niddy offers both public and private authentic Thai cooking classes. Private classes are hands-on classes taught in a private kitchen with a maximum of 6 students. Public classes are offered through various venues.


Public Classes

Niddy has been teaching at the community colleges in both Corvallis and Eugene. Niddy will also be a guest chef at Kelly's Cooking School in Summer, 2009. Classes at these venues are open to the public and are held at nights. These classes are not private classes and dishes have been determined ahead of time. Classes are either demonstration or hands-on.

Winter 2010

Private Classes

Niddy also offers private hands-on Thai cooking classes for every level of student. Students can learn how to prepare an array of dishes from non-spicy to spicy, appetizers, desserts, soups, curries and much more. Classes are usually held on Saturday or Sunday, except for holiday weekends. The classes consist of a single 4 hour workshop (followed by eating time) that is designed to teach students how to make Thai food from scratch. Here is a general class outline:

  • Introduction to Thai food
  • Hands-on cooking classes
  • Authentic Thai ingredients except for some seasonal fruits and vegetables
  • All new ingredients and take home any leftover sauces & ingredients
  • Have fun socializing and enjoy eating the food you make

One student from his/her party must reserve seats at least 2 weeks in advance and payment must be received 1 week before a class begins. For alternative arrangements, please email me at info@thaicookinghouse.com

Cost: $70 per person
Class Size: Minimum 4, Maximum 6 people
No of Dishes: 4 (with steamed rice and beverages)
Duration: 3-4 hours (followed by eating time)
Day: Usually held on Saturday or Sunday, except for holiday weekends
